I have gone back to my early days as a youth team player up to the present day to pull some of these out of the woodwork.

GK – Adam Placey :  An outstanding hard as nails keeper who once saved me from a mauling in a cup final after a savage knockout headbutt !

RB – Danny Elliott :  A player with a brilliant first touch who is equally hated by the opposition as much as myself, that gets him in for me.

NO.5 – Dave Wilks :  An old school centre half who played and managed our sides well in to his forty’s.  A player who was great in the air, strong in a tackle and a good leader who managed to fit in a few cigg’s at half time.

NO.6 – Richie ‘knuckles’ Carr :  Never seen the man loose a header, never seen him pull out of a challenge and never seen him miss the chance to scuffle, a player you want on your side.

LB – Steve ‘wolf man’ Hills:  Steve is a 110% player who is outstanding in the air and awful on the floor. I have never seen a player kick a ball so many times off the pitch but a solid defender he was who made some of the best tackles I’ve seen. Excellent to have around the dressing room.

LM – Jey Siva:  A player with some of the best ability i have ever played with. Jey can control a ball with snow on it dead every time, it sticks to his foot when runs with it and strikes the ball superbly. A pleasure to play alongside.

CM – Scott Lavin:  I have played alongside Scott many times and he has never failed to put it in. He has an excellent all round game of good passing, tackling and heading and he never fails to put a smile on my face. My only criticism is he never passed any of it on to me!.

CM – Tony Hegarty:  A payer with a good Polish/Irish mix who had brilliantly ability to go around a player whilst taking the mick at the same time. I have never failed to enjoy a game when in the same side as Tony so it’s a shame to see the state of him now.

RM – Danny Cooke:  Danny is a player with an eye for a goal who will run all day for you and don’t mind putting himself about the pitch. His pace will get you goals in any team he plays in so i hope he reads this and gives me a ring and I’ll give him a game to prove it.

CF – Joe Lovell: Another player who will never let you down for effort, his pace and desire to win the ball is second to none so he would start in my side every time.

CF – Steve Trowbridge: In my opinion the complete player, he can head the ball, strike a ball and chase a ball down superbly. Steve has an excellent eye for a goal and don’t mind leaving a foot in for good measure either.
